Pam MacD
Voice Over Artist
About Pam
While writing and narrating a short book entitled “Huh?! And Other Intelligent Things I Have Said to My Financial Advisor” for KDP/ACX, Pam has gone through what many of you authors are facing. She also discovered how much technology has changed the voice over industry. No more driving around a crowded city for an audition - that business model shifted and for the most part, laid to rest along with her old reel to reel demo tape.
Yes. Tape.
While active in the LA scene in decades long ago and far away, Pam appeared onstage in Equity Waiver productions such as Marat/Sade, Adaptation, Waiting for the Parade and A Winter’s Tale. Pam worked behind the camera for various network commercials and her other production work includes recognition by the Television Academy for her production work for CBS’ Emmy Award winning “Muppet Babies.” The show was produced by a little animation company by the name of “Marvel Entertainment” where from time to time and to her delight, Pam worked as an assistant to Stan Lee.
Over her non-entertainment business years spent traveling the world, Pam has studied the Chinese healing artform of Qigong which is partially a meditative study in breathing. And as it turned out Qigong is the foundation Pam learned while studying Voice for the Actor in the aforementioned long-ago decades. You writers can pen really lovely phrases, but she really feels they can be easily lost when cut and pasted together in post-production. Give your words and the artist a chance to balance each other.
So, if you are looking for warmth, sincerity, intelligence and a non-union member, please give Pam MacD a try.
